New Creative Team Floats Into Emotive.

Independent, Coogee based creative agency Emotive has appointed Max Moore as Art Director and Ashling Coffey as Copywriter. And just four weeks in, they’ve hit the beach running, getting amongst Emotive’s exciting projects and giving new meaning to diving into the deep end.
The pair join Emotive with strong experience delivering earned creative ideas that skew heavily to social and PR channels, drawn by the chance to learn from the agency’s talented team known for its earned-first creativity, ambitious production and emotionally led ideas.
Moore and Coffey join the growing creative department, working alongside Head of Earned Creative Jessica Cluff and Chief Creative Officer Gavin McLeod. The duo reflect Emotive’s continued investment in earned creativity, as the agency builds on its momentum for emotionally-led ideas and innovative production.
Gavin McLeod said: “We were genuinely blown away by the response when we started looking. The volume of applications was one thing, but the quality was another. There are some incredibly talented young creatives coming through and, if anything, the process reminded us just how much future talent this industry has. Ash and Max stood out because they bring a really interesting mix of perspectives and have a passion to learn. They’ve already jumped straight into a major pitch and contributed to the work that helped us win it, which is a pretty good way to spend your first week.”
Jess Cluff said: “As anyone knows, you are not a true creative team until you have a ‘fun’ nickname. Which is why we’re delighted to welcome ‘Smash’ to Emotive. They are smart, hungry, obsessed with pop culture and have an unhealthy relationship with social media – the perfect ingredients for earned creativity. We’re lucky to have them.”
Ash said: “We’ve admired Emotive’s work for a while now, so joining the team feels pretty special. There is incredible depth of experience, matched by a genuine generosity in sharing it, plus an infectious excitement about what’s next. We can’t wait to jump in (literally).”
Max said: “The opportunity to work alongside a creative team that nurtures new perspectives and ideas was exactly what we were looking for. Simon, Gav and Jess have created an environment that pushes us while making everything still feel approachable. It’s clear Emotive is an agency that does things differently, and that openness extends to everything here, the thinking, the team, even the windows that let the salt air in.”
Ash and Max’s appointment comes as Emotive continues to deliver on their commitment to earned first creativity and expand its client roster, with recent new business wins including Google Pixel, El Jannah and Nespresso. The agency now works across more than 20 cross-category brands and reports a market-leading average client tenure of 4.7 years.
